The maker of Tide Pods is recalling 8.2 million bag packages of the product because they may be defective, causing them to come open and granting access to the pods themselves.

Procter & Gamble is recalling more than 8 million bags of Tide, Gain, Ace and Ariel laundry detergent packets sold in the U.S. and Canada, Friday, April 5, 2024.

The recalled products were made between September 2023 and February 2024 and sold as Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods.
