One final point we should add, if you don't have 3 grand to spend, but still want in on Sabrent's Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station, it comes in other more affordable capacities of 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB.
There is also the matching 1big Dock Thunderbolt which is £420 for 8TB and lacks RAID. I can't see how RAID helps here for redundancy, since "2 big" would only do RAID 1 and that's not redundancy.
