THORNBURY—More than 100 students, staff, teachers and parents joyfully attended The Concept School’s Spring Art Festival, Thursday night.

Following the Buttonwood Park Pride festival, The Gallery Bar co-hosted the Pride block party. The night also featured drag performances, food trucks and other exciting moments late into the night.

The theme of the weekend’s kick-off party – at 10 p.m. Friday in the Red Room at 258 Commercial St. – is Lady Gaga vs. Beyonce.

Saturday nighttime Pride Variety Show, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. SE, Olympia. The 18-and-older, ticketed event will feature live comedy and burlesque performances.

The day will start with a march down Main St. at 10 a.m., followed by a Pride lawn party, a Pride craft party, teen queer-eoke, a pride pool party and a night of music and picnics in the park.
