Two Texas Tech University officers were shot and one person was killed in the incident, the police department said.

A former Daytona Beach man who was once accused of attempted murder in Holly Hill was shot and killed in a shootout with police on the campus of Texas Tech University, according the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, a Gannett publication.

The Texas Tech University Police Department is set to provide updates in on Tuesday regarding a shooting that left two officers injured and a suspect deceased.
