The NFL's renewed focus on taunting. Prior to the 2021 regular season, the NFL's competition committee made the league aware of how officials will start enforcing rules against taunting.

According to NFLpenalties.com, the 2022 season saw a dramatic decrease, with 21 taunting flags. In 2023, that number dropped to 17 and last season it was up to 20.

Taunting calls peaked with 55 in 2021 amid another NFL crackdown on excessive celebration. There were 20 such flags in 2024, but Jordan still believes that is too many. "Let us celebrate.
