Homes in south London may temporarily lose their water supply as it slowly returns to normal, Thames Water has said. Some households have been without water since Tuesday evening, following a burst pipe.

Thousands of people across south London have been left without water this morning with six postcodes impacted. The areas include Crystal Palace, Sydenham and surrounding neighbourhoods with postcodes SE19,

Taps have run dry for 24 hours across South London with multiple postcodes hit with supply problems after a major pipe burst. Thames Water said the incident began early on Wednesday and continues this morning.

Thames Water has apologised again to residents across south London who are living without water, or have very little pressure, following a burst water main in Dulwich on Tuesday evening. The outage is affecting thousands across Crystal Palace, Forest Hill, Sydenham, West Norwood and Streatham, including 7 schools and 3 care homes.
