Dr. Aggarwal told that Swayam Prakash is known for his original contribution in the field of Hindi fiction. He wrote around two hundred and fifty stories and five of his novels were also published.

It is ironic that noted Hindi litterateur Swayam Prakash’s well-known short story, Partition, was written at a time when its message did not need as much broadcasting as it does today.
