LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Earth Day, some Lexington kids got the chance to learn about sustainability while eating free ice cream.

Families visited the Children's Garden, where kids could enjoy nature-themed activities and crafts. Experts were also at the event to teach children about science, nature, composting, and animals.

The brand quickly became a favorite among fashion-forward celebrities, like Rihanna, Beyonce, Gwen Stafani, and Angelina Jolie, whose kids regularly appeared in Mini Rodini when they were small.

This year’s Forbes Sustainability Leaders Summit focused on innovation and showcased the ingenuity of young entrepreneurs and legacy companies alike across industries.

The center, which acts as the main cybersecurity resource for state, local, territorial and tribal governments in the U.S., each year holds a nationwide poster contest for grades K-12.
