The small Uncharted SUV is visually and mechanically similar to the upcoming 2026 Toyota CH-R, which also goes on sale next year. Toyota and Subaru share development and production of many of their EVs.

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted, unveiled yesterday in New York, is an all-electric compact crossover that joins the refreshed Solterra and the new extended-length Trailseeker. Sales are set for early 2026, and Toyota will assemble the Uncharted in Japan.

While Subaru maintains its close relationship with Toyota in EVs, and this is a C-HR rebadge, the Uncharted breaks some new ground. I love the NACS port, I love the range and the acceleration. Subaru’s fans might finally have an EV they can upgrade their ICE vehicle for.
