Fifth-grade students at St. James Elementary School showed off their new electric vehicles on Tuesday, Feb. 25, as part of a project to teach math and science skills.
St. James Elementary, 715 14th St., is celebrating the milestone with a variety of activities this year. Those events included the release of 140 green-and-white balloons by the school's 131 students.
A trio of chickens living in a coop at the St. James Elementary School will help students from kindergarten through fifth grade learn about agriculture and caring for animals.
