FARGO – It’s no wonder that St. Mary’s Cathedral has been a frequent subject for Forum photographers. The cathedral at 619 7th St. N., was built in 1899.

Old St. Mary's, the oldest Cathedral in California, also is in need of some renovations. A GoFundMe page has been set up. You can also donate through the church's website.

In 1889, the bell was commissioned to hang in the original St. Mary's Cathedral at Van Ness Avenue and O'Farrell Street. A steam train hauled it across the country from a Baltimore bell foundry.
