Universal Destinations & Experiences recently revealed several themed areas that will be featured at Universal Kids Resort, a new family-focused theme park set to open next year in Texas.

Visitors to the Universal Kids Resort under construction in Frisco will be able to stomp around in Shrek’s swamp, go boating with SpongeBob SquarePants, or take a cat nap with Puss in Boots.

Universal broke ground on the property in November 2023. Recently, the resort completed work on the third floor of the on-site hotel and has been building out landscaping around the park's perimeter.
