The shelter received a check from the Spirit of Kansas Car Show. The show has donated proceeds to area organizations for 14 years. This year’s total, $4,000, is going to Helping Hands.

Classic cars cruised in bright and early Friday morning for the Spirit of Kansas car show. Awards were distributed, with a portion of the proceeds raised going to Helping Hands Humane Society.
