HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The University of Southern Mississippi has lost a steadfast friend, a cherished alumnus and one of its most generous investors: Charles “Chuck” C. Scianna Jr.

She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in psychology. Her work has also been published on ConnecticutHistory.org.

Chuck & Rita Scianna made a $1 million donation to the College of Business and Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi to fund several college initiatives.
