Fast-forward a few years and the latest iteration of Sofreh Cafe has just opened at 216 Flatbush Avenue by Bergen Street, right across the street from its parent eatery, Sofreh.

Sofreh is a new cookbook from celebrated chef and author Nasim Alikhani. "If we as immigrants become stuck in the past, we deprive ourselves of the opportunities our new space has provided," she says.

There are some spaces in the front as well, but Dena said it's easier to park in the back. Hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday; Sofreh will be closed Sundays and Mondays.
