Faber told the New Zealand Herald that seeing the snake in his home was the "shock of his life" and that he couldn't stop checking under furniture until the snake catcher he called arrived.

A real-life snake was filmed slithering out of an overhead locker, which then dropped down the cabin. The passenger who filmed the snake, Indalecio Medina, said the reptile was about 3ft long.
