Pete Davidson is looking back at how his first Saturday Night Live sketch "bombed." The comedian, 31, revealed in the July 28 episode of Hot Ones that his first "real" sketch on the long-running TV series was with Jim Carrey and it did not resonate well with the audience.

In the latest episode of Hot Ones, the SNL alum opened up about the time a sketch of his with Jim Carrey "bombed to high heavens" — though Carrey came up with a funny way to save it. The unfortunate memory came about when host Sean Evans asked if Davidson remembered his first-ever SNL sketch and what grade he would give to its execution.

The sketch aired October 25, 2014, and Davidson arguably downplayed how good it is. "Zombie Apocalypse High School" stars Carrey as a father just trying to get himself and his son into a safe zone that's manned by his son's former high school classmates. They'll take Carrey, but his son is clearly a zombie.
