“Shrek the Halls” When: Wednesday, Dec. 11, 8:30-9 p.m. What: This half-hour animated special debuted in 2007 and features a Christmas twist on the original “Shrek” characters.

Shrek The Halls on ABC topped One Direction's NBC television special at 8pm, with the animated short earning 1.2 (5.25m).

An encore airing of "Frosty The Snowman" is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. on 9NEWS, followed by "Shrek the Halls." On Christmas Day, NBC will have a double dose of the Grinch.
