The Monterey County Sheriff's Office reports that they are addressing a suspicious package found against a California Highway Patrol (CHP) vehicle on Monday.

At 11:15 a.m., the bomb squad confirmed that the bag contained a DVD player and posed no threat. Roadways were reopened after it was determined there was no threat to the public.
