He died there at the age of 83. The city of Seguin, which changed its name to honor Juan Seguín in 1838, won permission from Mexico to transfer Seguín’s remains there in 1974.

LEWISTON – Joanne Henrietta Seguin, 88, of Lewiston, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 20, 2022. She was born in Lewiston on March 4, 1934, the daughter of Albert and Eva Larocque.
