A man from Santiago, Chile, was taken into custody Friday night after Newport Beach police were called to the site of a home burglary in the area of East Coast Highway and Pelican Point.
The beach at the town of Playa de Santiago is one of the largest on the island. It's a pretty, pebbled stretch of coastline, making it the perfect destination for sunny, lazy afternoons.
