Pete Hanna, the namesake of the Samford University’s football stadium and basketball arena, died at 88 years old Sunday.

Later, Mercer third baseman Brant Baughcum was tossed after he shoved a Samford player who was thrown out in a rundown.

The University of Florida Police Department reported that 27 people were ejected from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday night during the Florida Gators' football game against Samford.
