Salisbury train crash sounded like a 'bomb' or 'thunder' says trick-or-treating mum Mum Tamar Vellacott thought she heard a "bomb" or "thunder" after two trains crashed in Salisbury.
The incident happened near Salisbury station in Wiltshire on Sunday night when the rear carriage of a Great Western Railway (GWR) service from Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol Temple Meads derailed.
On the GWR line, passengers travelling to and from Dorset will be impacted - train services between Westbury and Southampton Central have been suspended between Salisbury and Romsey.
They said: "I’d say that around 100-150 passengers were taken off 2 trains at the station with vague descriptions of “an incident in the tunnel” that was initially blocking eastbound trains.
