For years, banks have allowed customers to run safe deposit boxes, to store important documents and valuables and protect them from fire and theft. Now it's becoming harder to secure a box.

I imagine that for privacy, there are no cameras in the safe-deposit box area. I have jewelry at home, but I do not feel safe keeping it there. I keep hearing about break-ins in my neighborhood.

The safe-deposit box is not listed as personal property and is not part of the trust. However, I could access two other safe-deposit boxes in my sister’s name with her death certificate.
