Cristiano Ronaldo has an airport named after him, but it was his odd-looking statue that attracted attention in Wednesday's ceremony honoring the Portugal star in his hometown.

Several people felt the statue did not represent Ronaldo and mocked it online. The airport recently replaced the bust with a more realistic-looking version of Ronaldo.

“That hideous Ronaldo statue is going to be a meme in 5,4,3…,” posted another. Another Twitter user deemed the statue “the most gloriously awful bust” of Ronaldo.

This isn’t the first time a statue depicting Ronaldo has made headlines. In 2014, a statue of the soccer star was unveiled in Madeira, Portugal, the island where the star soccer player was raised.
