Monterey County’s famed Rocky Creek Bridge on state Highway 1 has fully reopened to traffic again after being closed for more than a year because of a slipout on the coastal side of the highway.
Rocky Creek is located 12 miles south of Carmel. The slip-out occurred just south of Rocky Creek Bridge on Highway 1 – post mile 60 – resulting in the undermining of the southbound lane.

CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. — A full 24-hour closure of Highway 1 at Rocky Creek has been moved to Dec. 14 at 10 p.m. due to forecasted wind. The highway is scheduled to reopen on Dec. 15 at 10 p.m.
