Combo sink/toilet systems such as this have been prevalent in Japan for years, but Roca’s W + W (washbasin + watercloset) looks much more practical and introduces some fresh features.
But with the sink facing out from the toilet seat, it has a more separated look and, I would imagine, feel. In fact, it wouldn't feel odd to use the Roca basin for, saying, tooth-brushing.

In 2013, NPR’s "All Tech Considered" featured the toilet-sink — and toilet-urinal — addition, noting that the combination has been around in Japan since at least 1956.
