Bear Week celebrates Mississippi's growing population of black bears and teaches people about the animals and how to avoid conflicts with them.

"It's a way to explain some things our program does and bring some educational content about black bears in Mississippi," said Anthony Ballard, Black Bear Program coordinator for MDWFP.
