The quilt, worth more than $1000, disappeared from Jane’s Fabric Shop sometime between Saturday and Monday morning, owner Jane Wise told KOIN 6 News.

For the museum's Curator of Collections, Carolyn Ducey, their research is an opportunity to see beyond the fabric. "We learn the background of a quilt, why it was made," Ducey said.

The guild's 16th biennial quilt show, "The Art and Legacy of Quilting," is Friday and Saturday at Vine­ville United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. About 160 quilts will be on display.
