Nix spent five full seasons in college between Auburn University and the University of Oregon, entering the 2024 NFL draft at the age of 24. While his maturity appeared to be appealing for many teams, the football world felt he was drafted ahead of projections. The Broncos drafted Nix with the No. 12 overall pick in the draft.

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel recently attended Broncos training camp alongside The Athletic 's Diana Russini, and he was pleasantly surprised with the progress Nix has shown from 2024 to now. "I'm telling you, Bo Nix looks excellent," Daniel said on his YouTube channel. "He's ready to make a huge jump into year two."
