A Reddit post is now sparking debate online after a job seeker shared a rejection email which she described as “insulting” and “tone-deaf” during her year-long job hunt.

It’s never enjoyable to be rejected from a job. But, for one Reddit user, a possible employer has rubbed salt in the wound with a less-than-adequate email.

In a now-viral post titled "I got ghosted after 8 interviews. Why do companies do this?", the user detailed his experience, with others also sharing their plight.
