The Port Arthur Public Library is looking for local authors. The library is hosting a meet and greet for local authors and invites all those interested to attend, according to a news release.

Port Arthur was chartered on May 28, 1898. So, the 125th anniversary, also known as a Quasquicentennial, will take place this year, according to a news release from the City of Port Arthur.
