Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has called for a parliamentary confidence vote in a bid to demonstrate continuing support for his pro-European Union government after nationalist Karol Nawrocki won the country's presidential vote.

Nationalist and eurosceptic Karol Nawrocki was expected to win Poland's presidential election based on all votes counted, the news website Onet reported on Monday, in results that would deal a blow to the reform agenda of the pro-European government.

Poland’s National Electoral Commission has declared nationalist Karol Nawrocki the winner of the presidential election.
