A vehicle pursuit that spanned two counties came to an end near a Roseville water park, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office. Deputies initiated a pursuit around 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 80 in the Penryn area for reckless driving.

The Sheriff's Office said they were told a 75-year-old had been out on Lower Lake Clementine all Saturday and that his boat was found at the marina near the boat ramp.

THE CEDARS, Calif. — Crews are searching for three people who entered a body of water in Placer County on Wednesday and did not resurface, the sheriff's office says.

The sheriff's office shared the identities of the three victims with PEOPLE on Wednesday, June 25. They include one man from New York, 44-year-old Matthew Anthony, and two from Los Angeles, 50-year-old Matthew Schoenecker and 59-year-old Valentino Creus.

The man was reported missing after his boat, truck and keys were found at the marina near the lower Lake Clementine boat ramp, according to law enforcement.
