Michigan's first Sheetz store opened for business Tuesday near Detroit Metro Airport, attracting large crowds of customers who packed the new Romulus location and overfilled its parking lot.

And competition makes everyone better. Being home to the largest international airport in Michigan, Romulus is the first impression of Michigan for more than 30 million travelers annually.

The company in April also announced plans to break ground on a second Romulus location at 29225 Smith Road. That store would be about five minutes east of Sheetz's first Michigan store that opened ...
