GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - The Pier Park in Grosse Pointe Farms has been cleared after it temporarily closed Friday due to the discovery of an explosive device.
Law enforcement from the following departments assisted in the incident response: Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Shores, Bloomfield Township, Michigan State Police and West Bloomfield Police K-9 Units.
Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety says they were notified Friday at approximately 11:06 a.m. about a suspicious metal object found at the Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park.
Pier Park in Grosse Pointe Farms closed as a precaution after an explosive device was recovered from Lake St. Clair on Friday afternoon, according to police.
