Employees of American Airlines, Boeing Co. and members of the media board a Boeing 777-300ER jet Thursday in Seattle as American Airlines takes delivery of the new aircraft.

American Airlines' Flagship Suite service will be officially launching on June 5, the airline said in a media release, aboard a new Boeing aircraft.

American will be refreshing its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft as well while introducing newly delivered Airbus A321XLRs. American is planning additional changes to its fleet in the coming months.

In 2016, American Airlines was the first U.S. airline to debut long-haul Premium Economy seats, after which it saw high demand and added even more of the seats to its long-haul aircraft.
