Revealed during today's Nintendo Direct, Double Dash's Petey Piranha, Mario Kart 7's Wiggler, and Tour's Kamek are joining the roster of playable characters.

These characters are Petey Piranha, Kamek, and Wiggler. They’ve each been previously playable in Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Kart Tour and Mario Kart 7 respectively.

Additionally, three returning characters join the roster including Kamek, Petey Piranha, and Wiggler. Wave 5 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass will be available on July 12, 2023.

More characters are also being added—Petey Piranha, who originally hit the track in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Wiggler, from Mario Kart 7, and Kamek, from Mario Kart Tour. Wave 1 launched on ...

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will bring back the Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, Coin Runners, and Shine Thief Battle Modes, as well as introduce Renegade Roundup.
