Murdoch killed British tourist Peter Falconio and tried to kidnap Joanna Lees in outback NT in 2001. In 2005 Murdoch was found guilty of murder, and Mr Falconio’s body has never been found.

Police in the Northern Territory have launched a new appeal for information on the whereabouts of Peter Falconio’s body, offering a potential reward of up to $500,000.

On holiday from the UK, Mr Falconio, 28, and his girlfriend Joanne Lees, then 27, were driving a Combi van north of Barrow Creek in central NT on July 14, 2001.
