Central vs. Peripheral Vision Peripheral vision is what you can see in the corners of your eyes without moving your head. Eyesight worsens as it moves to the periphery.

But even if your central vision is intact, you may find it hard to see out of the corners of your eyes. When this happens, it’s known as peripheral vision loss (PVL), or tunnel vision.
