The UNC women's basketball team is fresh off one of its best seasons under head coach Courtney Banghart, advancing to the Sweet 16 for the second time in four seasons.

The Bulldogs’ head coach in 2024-25 was Jaime White, who went to Fresno State after eight years at UNC. White led the Bears from 2006-14 during the program’s transition to Division I from Division II.
