The project pays homage to founder Paco Rabanne, whose label produced “Listen to the Music” and about 30 other tracks with a dozen artists, all from the Afro-disco and funk movements.

Through his label Paco Rabanne Design and the Centre 57, he brought Afro, disco, and funk artists into the heart of Paris's creative scene, championing diversity, inclusivity, and cultural hybridity.

Paco Rabanne has died at age 88 in Portsall, France. The fashion designer's death was announced on his company's Instagram Friday along with a black and white portrait of him captured in 1999.
