Since 1969, the Talimena National Scenic Byway, casually known as the Talimena Drive, has given travelers luxurious views of the Ouachita National Forest in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.

The day permits are authorized through 2024, and gives guests access for $25 at the Ouachita National Forest, and $30 at the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests.
