They will be handed out to kids in over 100 countries. People can choose an age and gender to shop for and even scan a QR code to see where their box ends up.

Operation Christmas Child began delivering shoeboxes to Ukraine in 1996. It began with 8,500 shoebox gifts there — and now the nonprofit group has distributed over 11.5 million in that country.

The event is called “BEYOND THE BOX” from Operation Christmas Child and will be tonight at 6:30, at Harvest Church in Washington, NC.
