Omaha zoo’s safari park, little changed since 1998 opening, is in line for an overhaul The $3.5 million park opened in June 1998, focusing on North American species.

It's now open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for an adult and $10 for kids. Children under 2 get in for free. The Insect Adventure is set to open on May 3.
