Rodgers and Hammerstein's lyrics are the official state song thanks to a performance on the House floor by a Tulsa actor and a Chickasha choir staged by a future governor.

"Oklahoma" will of course be among songs performed when the benefit concert “Classics of Rodgers & Hammerstein” arrives March 25 and March 26 at the Will Rogers High School Auditorium.
