Apple confirmed an additional $100 billion commitment to the U.S. as investors awaited a meeting at the Oval Office between President Donald Trump and CEO Tim Cook. Apple said in a news release on Wednesday that it’s significantly accelerating its investment in the U.

The announcement in the Oval Office, set for 4:30 p.m. ET, includes Apple’s commitment to a new “American Manufacturing Program,” a White House official confirmed to CNBC.

President Trump hosted Apple CEO Tim Cook at the White House as they announced new US investments. Cook also gifted Trump a plaque with gold base.
