Venice's famous gondoliers are up in arms over requests from tourists to continually sing ice cream jingle 'O Sole Mio' instead of being serenaded with local melodies.
A woman, known only as Jenna, was travelling with her two friends in Toronto, Canada, when her driver, Jaewoo, began singing O Sole Mio. Footage shows Jaewoo impressively belting out the song.
Their title track “O Sole Mio,” which is Italian for “My Sunshine,” has a Latin pop sound and a beautiful guitar melody.
The clip features each member singing the lyrics “O sole mio, te quiero” but with “te quiero” (meaning “I love you”) in different languages.
While the record will also include a brand-new recording of O Sole Mio. Andrea Bocelli originally recorded the live album at the special concert in New York on September 15, 2011.
