GLEN LAKE, MI - The Glen Lake Christmas Tree Boat is back on the water and even brighter than before with 6,000 lights to dazzle this little community and visitors to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area.
The Northern Lights show runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On Christmas Eve, the show runs on a loop the entire night.
Known as the floating Christmas tree, the 14-foot pine is decorated with 6,000 multi-color Christmas lights and anchored in a 14-foot Mirrocraft aluminum fishing boat.
One shopper will be Lisa Fjordbeck, who lives nine miles away in Springfield. She said picking a tree at the Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm has been a family tradition for about 20 years.
