Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban praised President Donald Trump’s new executive order as a key step in safeguarding the purity left in college sports. Trump signed the “Saving College Sports” order on Thursday to restrict third-party pay-for-play deals and strengthen non-revenue sports.

U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to "protect student-athletes" and collegiate athletic scholarships and opportunities, the White House said on Thursday.

"The Order requires the preservation and, where possible, expansion of opportunities for scholarships and collegiate athletic competition in women’s and non-revenue sports," the White House said.

Despite stepping away from coaching following the 2023 season, seven-time champion head coach at Alabama and LSU, Nick Saban, is now apparently interested in coaching in the NFL.

"There is no opportunity that I know of right now that would convince me to go back to coaching," Saban said at the 5:45 mark of his Fox & Friends interview.
